NCT 127 has signed a new global distribution deal with Capital Music Group & Caroline (an independent distribution and label service).
CMG/Caroline are to provide distrubition and extensive marketing for the 10-member pop act in most global territories. CMG is a force in the music industry with stars like Sam Smith and Katy Perry to name a few.
This signing is right before NCT 127’s first North American Tour which kicks off April 24 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. It will be 11 shows running through mid-May. They are also set to do some promotion work on national television shows in New York and Los Angeles.
It’s been a nonstop past year for the group, which became the second-highest-charting K-pop band in history when it entered the Billboard 200 with Regular-Irregular in October. The same month, NCT 127 made its U.S. television debut performing “Regular” on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
“While the K-pop explosion is one of the most exciting developments in pop music, we have long set our sights on NCT 127 in particular,” stated Caroline president Jacqueline Saturn and executive vp Matt Sawin. “The members are extremely talented and incredibly hard working, and SM Entertainment is a powerhouse that brings incredible resources, experience and know-how to the table. Everyone at Caroline is beyond excited about this partnership.”
